Although technology already offers a lot of convenience for people looking to get into fitness and improve their health, for some people, it may still not be enough to push them into achieving their goals. Some people need a unique way to motivate themselves to perform specific activities, and one solution may be the gamification of fitness apps. Gamifying your fitness can add a level of fun and competitive motivation that will help people complete their workout routines and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Apps can incorporate elements often found in games, such as daily challenges, rewards, and competitive leaderboards, to improve a user’s experience and physical activity. Users can track their progress and be encouraged to keep participating in their journey without giving up. There are many kinds of challenges a person can try to win while getting in some exercise at the same time. These challenges include earning 10,000 steps a day or competing with other people for the fastest distance in a race online. I have used tactics like these before, which have helped motivate me to exercise. This method can also help push people into pursuing a healthier diet and sleep schedule so they can perform better in these challenges. I think if people have some kind of motivation to exercise like using a gamified method, then they can achieve whatever goal they set for themselves.
